Akrotiri is a quiet village but of great interest and importance. It is situated on the southwest edge of Santorini, about 15 kilometers away from Fira, offering exquisite views of the island. It is famous for the lighthouse from where you can relish majestic sunsets.
In Akrotiri you have the opportunity to discover two wondrous beaches, Red Beach and White Beach. Red Beach is surrounded by reddish, steep cliffs that along with the dark blue waters form a stupendous contrast. White Beach, encircled with high, white rocks and covered in white pebbles.
Akrotiri village is home of the most historical treasure in Santorini, which is the archaeological site of Akrotiri, a very important prehistoric town of the Aegean that is totally worth a visit.

In order to reach the place from the port, take the bus from the Port to Fira and get off in Megalochori village. Then, take another bus with direction to Akrotiri village.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, located on the seafront, bar, small private beach, bus station that can take you to Fira and from there anywhere on the island in front of the hotel, 800 meters from the red beach and by taxi boat you can go to three beaches red, white, black, quiet, clean, decent breakfast, congratulations to the staff and the owner Mathios for everything he has achieved there. Excellent price-quality ratio!!!
Akrotiri hotel was amazing in all the ways. The staff was incredible kind and welcoming. Yosif in the restaurant, Anna-Maria in reception and all the cleaning/breakfast personal has been everything that you can hope for! Giving us anything we need and many tips about the island of Santorini. The ocean view from our room was breath taking and the room was always clean & cozy! The breakfast was good where you choose from a list the day before - we were always satisfied. The restaurant is welcoming and has great food and coffee. The location is perfect if you want to take the boat to some of the beaches, walk to red beach or take the 2€ bus. The private beach is great if you just want to relax close to the hotel and there is chairs and sofas everywhere where you can sit and enjoy the view! There is also scooters and quad bikes you can rent. We loved Akrotiri hotel and will definitely stay here again if we visit Santorini again! THANK U!
Wow, amazing hotel, it seems like someone very talented artist design this hotel with keeping the beauty of the island in mind, the plants, the walkways, the furniture, choice of paint colors the selection of furniture the verandas, I am so impressed with everything this hotel has. The little beach right there when you peek down from the veranda in front of your room. Public Bus stop right at the entrance . Welcoming courteous staff eager to help any way possible. The shower is Ancient Greek style warm and soothing, comfortable bed, soft towel and best of all order to make breakfast with eggs, meat vegetables and fruits, juices and hot beverages. Yes I can’t forget to mention about Matheos the owner, what a great person, who treats us like his own family, curious to help us discover Santorini. He can arrange your island trip, cruise, Taxi or rental ATV. Matheos has great contacts with local businesses and perhaps he can help you any or every thing related to Santorini.
We stayed for 4 days in mid-October in this hotel, in its simplicity it is perfect in everything ... strategic position ... cleanliness ... courtesy of the owner and staff ... you will find absolute relaxation away from the crazy crowd of Santorini ... if you have the chance you absolutely must go there ... we will return as soon as possible 🙏
