Opt for a short and budget-friendly way to experience sites of exceptional beauty and distinctive history! Get the chance to explore the impressive Santorini Volcano and dive into the famous Hot Springs on this boat adventure lasting for just 3 hours!
Choose from the two options this tour offers: either the one departing at 11:00 and returning at 14:00, or another during the high season that departs at 14:00 and returns at 17:00. Both tours start from the picturesque Old Port of Santorini, a small port gradually emerging beneath the towering rocks below Fira Town. The port can be reached either by taking the cable car, which offers a quick and easy 3-minute ride, or by descending the steps. For the morning tour, there is also an option that includes a transfer service, departing from Athinios Port and following the same itinerary.
As the adventure begins, you will head for the first destination, the famous Volcano and its small bay of Erinia, which you will reach after a 10-minute sail. The boat will dock and stay there for 1 hour and 15 minutes, giving you the opportunity to hike a short path to the top with the presence of a guide, see the steaming craters, take stunning photos, and experience the distinctive sulfuric smell. As you explore the volcanic landscape, your guide will provide insightful details about the volcano's fascinating history and geology. A truly remarkable experience!
Following your time on the volcanic island, you will embark again for your next stop at Palaia Kameni, home to the famous Hot Springs located on the west side of the island, formed by volcanic eruptions. There, the boat will stop close to Agios Nikolaos Bay, at a distance of about 30 meters from the springs. It will remain there for 30 minutes, allowing you to dive into the warm, sulfur-rich waters, known for their therapeutic benefits. After this extraordinary swimming experience, the boat will return to the Old port.
Important Note: To reach the Hot Springs, you need to swim approximately 30 meters to the interior of the small bay of Agios Nikolaos. Therefore, strong swimming skills are essential.
Regardless of the option you choose, the itinerary followed is the same, including a visit to the most famous landmark of the island! However, opting for the option with the transfer will allow you to get conveniently picked up from a location close to your hotel. Pre-defined meeting points are available in all villages, so you will be assigned the closest location to your hotel for an effortless start to your adventure.
Discover Santorini's iconic Volcano and enjoy a unique swim in the popular Hot Springs, two unforgettable experiences in one tour!
Boat ride, volcano trek and hot springs as advertised. Transfers totally unorganized and chaotic at the dock. Very little to no instruction from guides on land or on the boat. Could be so much better.
The walk on the volcano was as expected, hot, barren, sport shoes required, although it is not a very long walk. Before the walk the ship stopped for the hot spring in the middle of the water, and customers could choose to swim over. The sea water was very cold, the hot spring was not much better, a bit warmer in a few spots and in general cold as well. Definitely only for people who's good at swimming, not suitable for young kids, didn't look very safe as the staff were not going into the water. The departing port was also confusing, as the Fira old port was under maintenance till end of May 2025, the departing port was Athinios port. The details on the website wasn't very clear on those. Also there was additional ticket to purchase for the volcano.
Our guide was awesome!, Wonderful experience!, Well organized!, A must do!
