I stayed at Sophia Luxury Hotel for just one night, but despite the very windy and cold weather that day, Vasiliki went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. She was incredibly thoughtful and offered us a private room with a plunge pool, making our stay even more special and comfortable. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail truly stood out. The hotel itself has stunning views, but it’s the exceptional service that makes it unforgettable.
One of the worst hotel experiences we've had. We booked two triple rooms for six people. During check-in, the staff specifically told us to leave our bags at the reception because we’d come back that way, assured us it was safe, and even pointed out they had CCTV. The next day, my friend’s AirPods went missing from a visible pocket of his bag, and other items had clearly been tampered with. We reported it, only to be told the cameras didn’t actually cover that area. They then said only their IT staff could access the footage—but that person was "on a plane to Athens" and would send it in 2 hours. Of course, we followed up, but they completely ghosted us on WhatsApp afterward. Given the circumstances, we couldn't rule out possible internal involvement, because: 1. We were instructed to leave our bags with a clear promise of safety and surveillance—none of which turned out to be true. 2. Staff gave inconsistent explanations and avoided showing the footage. 3. Despite our repeated follow-ups, we were completely ghosted. 4. There were no other guests present at the time—only hotel staff. To make things worse, the breakfast experience was just as disappointing. We pre-selected our breakfast and delivery time (10 AM), but it never came. At 10:50, someone came—not with breakfast—but to remind us about the 11 AM checkout. Only after we complained did they try to "prepare" something. About 20 minutes later, a staff member (who didn’t speak English) handed us plastic bags filled with supermarket juice, water, and food in takeout containers—nothing like the elegant meals shown online. We tried to explain there must have been a mistake, but the staff just kept saying, “Three people? Okay! No problem!” and left. When we went to the reception to ask again, we were told our room was “too far from the kitchen,” and that if they delivered the regular breakfast trays, “they’d get dusty.” But this excuse made little sense — if they knew in advance that they wouldn't serve the standard breakfast to certain rooms, they should have told us ahead of time, so we could at least choose to eat in our friends’ room (which did receive the proper tray breakfast, even though it was also late). Instead, it felt like they were just making excuses to rush us out past checkout, handing us takeaway bags to save time. What made the situation worse was the receptionist’s attitude. After we expressed our frustration, she just said, “I’m so sorry, but what can I do now?” — which came across as completely dismissive and unprofessional. It felt like she had no intention of making things right or offering any real solution. We eventually had to suggest our own workaround, asking them to re-prepare a proper breakfast and deliver it to our friends' room so we could eat it there. They agreed, but even then, they hovered outside the room and kept rushing us to check out—despite the breakfast delay being entirely their fault. We paid for a luxury experience, but got unreliable service, missing items, and zero accountability. Not recommended.
We stayed at this place in April 2025 for 2 nights and it was an amazing experience. One needs to walk up and down a little from the car parking area but the location is worth the effort. The staff is extremely polite, helpful and friendly. A special mention of the manager Vasiliki, who goes out that extra step always to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommended!
