Sophia Boutique Hotel

Must admit not our usual holiday choice, as it is quiet and just out of the main village, but we were not disappointed. Excellent breakfast, views amazing. Finikia restaurant is on your doorstep, excellent. 15 min walk to Oia, the place to be for the hustle and bustle. Loved the narrow streets and terrific views around every corner. Taxis very expensive so used local bus, which had good links around the island, with a stop just outside hotel.

We had the pleasure in staying at this hotel last week for our honeymoon. Overall, the experience was amazing. The workers really made a big impact; they were so kind, friendly, and helpful. We were right out of Oia but close enough to walk there. The views and the sunset from the hotel is beautiful. They made us a custom breakfast and it was fresh every morning. The chef is amazing! At night, they have a bar with light music, the bartender really created a comfortable environment and gave really good company to the group of us staying at the hotel. Anjelo was very understanding and helped us with things to do on the island. The only downfall I would say was the walk up and down from the hotel to the main street. However, you will notice that all of the hotels on the island are on a steep hill. I would def recommend this hotel to others and come back! Thank you all for a wonderful service.

Let me start by saying there is a lot of walking but we expected it. The staff is beyond phenomenal! Krystal helped us every step of the way. She is amazing & made our stay extra special. We were there celebrating my daughter’s birthday. She was able to book a photographer within a few hours, decorated & even provided a birthday cake. Another employee that stood out is Taka, who works at the pool bar. She was also very kind to us. These ladies made us feel like family The breakfast is delicious and affordable. The manager helped us with our dilemma upon arrival. DO NOT USE THE TAXI COMPANY ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE PORT! They totally ripped us off. The packed 18 passengers into the van & charged $35 per person. They dropped us off in another area 5 miles from the hotel. We called the hotel & the manager helped us & even spoke to the new taxi driver we flagged down to ensure our arrival. I recommend to arrange transportation through the hotel. He also gave us directions to Oia and saved us money. You can take a bus for 2 euros or it’s a 20 minute walk. It wasn’t that bad. It was definitely an experience for our girls. The rooms are extra clean and the beds are comfortable. Our girls loved the cave pool. We were sad to leave & wished we had booked a longer stay there but we were island hopping. Amazing! The views, breakfast, location, and staff were awesome. My mom and I were so happy with our stay. The staff were so kind especially the bartender, front desk lady during the day and at night. They were able to arrange massages in our rooms, ordered us food to be delivered, and answered so many questions. The view from our room was great and this is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for somewhere low key, but beautiful. Breakfast was beautifully laid out every morning and we will be back!
