My husbands favourite meal from our honeymoon, he still talks about it two years later! We arrived a few minutes before they opened for lunch and were able to grab a seat right along the water. The owner is lovely and very passionate! We were hoping to be back to visit our two year anniversary this May but the flights didn’t line up. Hoping we can visit in 2026!
The prices don’t match the quality! If they want to change top € - they have to do a better job! The fish plate for €85 was very average. I can grill a better fish at home. We also ate a better fish in the center of Oia a day before for 1/3 of the price!!!! When we pay this amount I want to be impressed by ingredients, chef skills and presentation - there is nothing of that here. Everything we ate was very average, including drinks! Fried calamari’s were probably made of frozen pack - unacceptable for a fish tavern. Skip this place. The service and a view were nice.
We had a very nice evening here. The waiters were very friendly, communicative and attentive. The food was as well quite good. Especially the grilled fish that can be choosen directly in the kitchen is an experience. Furthermore the location directly in the bay is amazing However there were two little things why we would not give 5 Stars: - We did not get a table directly at the water with the reasoning that everything is booked. 10 minutes later an older couple appeared without reservation and got the table. - The side dishes for the grilled fish were quite small. I would expect that 2 sides are enough for 2 people to eat a fish for 2 people
Food was good but you can’t beat this view. The service was excellent, everyone was so kind and welcoming. We didn’t order any of the fish (which is the most pricey) but the other items were reasonably priced. We tried to make a reservation via email but didn’t hear back. Our hotel helped us make a reservation the day before, we were able to sit right on the rocks in the front row. Worth every penny!
