My recent dining experience at Vezené Santorini restaurant was truly exceptional, leaving me captivated by its unique charm and exquisite cuisine. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's location, perched on the stunning island of Santorini, provided breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the iconic Santorini sunset. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, creating a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Vezené Santorini showcased a delightful fusion of traditional Greek flavors with a modern twist. Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was truly commendable. The knowledgeable and attentive staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were passionate about the cuisine and graciously guided me through the menu, providing recommendations and ensuring that my dietary preferences were catered to. Not only was the culinary journey a delight, but the service was impeccable. Spectacular setting, views were incredible. Service was overall good, food was high quality with great flavours. Only negative was the constant instagram ‘models’ trying to get that perfect picture, turns the venue into a bit of a circus at sunset.
Overall, the meal was fantastic! The staff was wonderful, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We would love to have had a list of spirits in the cocktails rather than a non-descript blurb. Still, the cocktails were fabulous and a delightful start. My only other note was that we were told that the Scorpion Fish was sold out and not 15 min later when another table asked it was suddenly available. A little irksome. We had plenty of food and would have declined the fish, but it is just the lack of awareness in that situation that was a bit disappointing. The prawns and the oxtail dish were very special and really made our experience. HIGHLY recommend. Expensive yes, but the food quality, view, staff/service all worth it.
It baffles me that anyone could have a negative experience at Vezene. Our dining experience was truly exceptional and I felt it was completely worth every euro. The waitress was extremely kind and hospitable and the entire wait staff was patient and helpful as we picked our food. We had the eggplant and zucchini chips, the bread, a fresh steamed whole fish, and the tropical explosion. Each food item was extremely tasty and intentional. I particularly enjoyed their yogurt dip with the zucchini chips and the sauce that was layered over the steamed fish. The tropical explosion was also a fantastic ending to the meal. The restaurant’s location isn’t in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Fira but it still has an amazing view. The restaurant and it’s terrace is stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. And I left VERY full.
