Santorini has two ports:
Athinios Port – Used for ferry arrivals and cruise ship passengers who have booked a tour through their cruise line.
Old Port of Fira – The main drop-off point for cruise passengers arriving via tender boats, as large ships cannot dock directly.
Getting to Fira Town
Once you arrive at the Old Port, you’ll need to take a tender boat from your ship and then ride the cable car to reach Fira town. This process can take 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on crowd levels. Since no transportation is available at the Old Port, the cable car is the best option to reach the main town.
Should You Book a Transfer?
If you’re considering booking a transfer as a cruise passenger, note the following:
Set your pick-up time at least 2 hours after your ship arrives to allow time for disembarkation.
Drivers can only wait for 15 minutes, so if your tender boat is delayed, you may miss your ride.
Transfers are not recommended for exploring the island due to timing uncertainties.

For transfers to Santorini airport, you are advised to book your transfer 1 hour before the arrival time that your airline has announced to you.
For transfers with direction to Santorini port, please book your transfer 2 hours before your ferry’s departure time, in order to avoid any delays due to traffic.
Your driver will be waiting for you at a specific prearranged meeting point at a reachable location near your hotel.
Your driver will always be aware of the status of your flight or the location of your ferry through the use of flight/ferry tracking services and will remain at the prearranged meeting point for about 1 hour from your arrival time. The exact waiting time will be mentioned on the voucher and the cancelation policy section of the transfer service that you will book.
If you cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the prearranged pick up time, no charges will be applied.
You can cancel your Roundtrip transfer with a full refund, up to 24 hours before the pick-up time of the first scheduled transfer. Please be informed that the pre-planned Return transfer cannot be canceled as it was booked at a discounted price.
