Vourvoulos is a small, quiet village located on the north east part of Santorini, about 4 kilometers from the capital Fira. The panorama from Vourvoulos is awe-inspiring as its position offers magnificent views to vast vineyards, meadows and shores.
It is a peaceful settlement that has to offer carefree moments away from the hustle and the bustle. There are some traditional restaurants where fresh fish and delicious local specialties are served.
From Vourvoulos you can access Pori, Columbo and Vourvoulos beaches that are not among the famous beaches of Santorini since they are mainly unspoiled and to reach them you need you own vehicle.

We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and a 7 year old and we just spent 7 incredible nights at Anema Boutique Hotel and Villas Santorini. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything from even before we arrived was perfect. We felt so welcomed by Christina, Maria, Julia and George. The food in the morning was fabulous. Our girls enjoyed the homemade treats for breakfast. The villa is luxurious and tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable and everything is super clean. It’s the perfect base to travel all around the island. The local beach and tavernas are very nice for a dip and a bite. One of the nicest places we have stayed 💙🤍
It's the Mamma Mia experience that you've imagined when going to Greece. We travelled as a family of four, with our little boy and my senior mom, and everyone had a great stay since pick up from the airport till drop off. I work in the hotel industry all my life, and I still get very impressed with the genuine hospitality of all the staff at Anema. My boy was running around the estate playing catch with Mussy, as if Anema was his home and he just knew everyone. We were very well looked after. Price was for good value.
My family stayed at Anema for my parents 40th anniversary (4 total people) and it was the perfect spot for us. The villa is gorgeous along with the very nice view of the ocean, with a beach only a 6 minute walk away. The restaurant in the villa is great, quality food so close by made our lives so easy. The staff are all wonderful: George, Maria, Christina and Julia made us feel so welcome and safe, greeting us with smiles every day and constantly going the extra mile for us. They helped us with dinner reservations downtown and got us amazing tables with perfect sunset views that we would not have gotten on our own. They all do their jobs so very well, but to top it all off they are great people. I’ve never had the pleasure of this type of experience before in my travels, and I believe it’s because of the people at Anema that work so hard and care so much that made it so unique. My parents 40th anniversary was very special, and I give them so much credit for making it so special. I would recommend staying at Anema to anyone, it was such a great experience, you will not be disappointed.
We had a wonderful suite with a pool and sea view, where we felt at home immediately. Perfect for relaxing, while all sights Santorini has to offer and beaches are only a quick drive away. The hotel restaurant offers exquisite food. Breakfast is luscious, even with freshly squeezed orange juice every day. Dinner is just fantasticly delicious! The team is unbelieveably welcoming, friendly and warm. We will miss Julia, George and Valentino very much -- you are the best!!
